Me, Lauren, Josh and even Matt Hinson showed up today and we built the bunk bed frames. tomorrow we plan to get them mounted in the bus. the frames were measured and fitted to the width of the bus. I borrowed the plans for the bunks online, that lauren found. i just modified it a bit to fit our needs. the frame is built using 2x6 and 3" deck screws. the slats are 1x4's that sit on top of 1x2s. we plan on drilling 3/8" holes and using carriage bolts to hold the bunks in place. we realized today that the heater in the back actually adds about an inch and a half on the wall. so one leg of the bunk will be offset. more finished pictures hopefully to come tomorrow! peace up, a town down.
